Online Password Request 
If you have lost or forgotten your Services Online Password, you may request a new password by mail or E-mail.

        Do NOT request a new password, if: 

•   You have already requested a password by mail within the last 7 days, using the Password By Mail function on Services Online  OR
•   You have called the Retirement Operations Center and requested a new password  OR
•   You have requested a password by emailing retire@opm.gov

By requesting a new password in any of the above instances, you will further delay your access to Services Online.                                                                                                                                             ***NOTE*** Submitting mutiple requests may result in multiple passwords being generated. Each time a new password is generated it invalidates the previous password.

•   Have you accessed your account within the past 15 months?
•   Have you set up your personal security questions?

              If you answered NO to either question, please use the Request Password by Mail option.

                                                              Request a New Password by Mail 

•   Your new password will be mailed to your address of record.  Please allow 7 days for receipt.
