Volunteering

Volunteers are essential assets to the Corps across the nation, especially right here on Lake Seminole.  In the Mobile District, more than 10,000 people volunteer every year.  And the number grows each year with new opportunities developing everyday.  There are many volunteer opportunities at Lake Seminole, which include; park hosting, shoreline cleanups such as the Renew Our Rivers Cleanup, as well as individual projects such as manning a booth at a local fair.

Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to the community, help to preserve nature's beauty, protect the wildlife, meet people, and a great way to remain active.  The Woodruff-Seminole Project offers a wide variety of volunter activities.  Our office main focus is to build a strong volunteer base for years to come. And depending on the volunteer opportunity that interest you, it can include a free campsite with full electrical, water, and sewer hookups for the entire duration of your volunteer efforts.

Our project campgrounds and parks are diverse in size and scenery. From those nestled in woods to those more open with direct views of the water.

We welcome all of those interested to call or visit us.  We also encourage you to visit the Volunteer Clearinghouse, or call 1-800-865-8337 where those interested in applying can enter their specific experience, availability and requests.

To speak with our volunteer coordinator, please contact the Woodruff/Seminole Site Office at 229-662-2001.
