Drug Interdiction Workshop / In-Service

This Drug Interdiction workshop is intended to provide law enforcement officers with the most current information regarding enforcement strategies and responses to a variety of drug crimes that may occur in their jurisdictions. The investigation and prosecution of drug crimes by Patrol, Interdiction and Drug Task Force officers is the focus of the program. The development of enforcement strategies to counter criminal trafficking patterns are presented and discussed.

Who Should Attend

Applicants must be federal, state, local, campus or tribal criminal justice professionals, law enforcement personnel, or domestic violence advocates from rural jurisdictions.

Eligibility

Training locations preceded by a “*” indicates that preference for admission into this program is given to non-federal law enforcement officers or other emergency responders working in rural areas. “Rural” is defined as any area outside of a metropolitan statistical area (MSA), as defined by the Office of Management and Budget; or any jurisdiction inside of a MSA located in a county, borough, parish or land under the jurisdiction of an Indian Tribe with a population of no more than 50,000.

Non-rural applicants will be admitted on a space-available basis beginning approximately 35 days prior to the program’s start date.

TUITION-FREE

Attendees are responsible for all travel, lodging and meal expenses.
