Ski Lodge opens for snow enthusiasts

Sledders laugh while going down a hill outside the Land Memorial Ski Lodge at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Jan. 5, 2013. To maximize “family fun” time, on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., orders can be called into the Lakeview Grille and delivered to the lodge. In just a few moments, families can enjoy delicious cracker-crust pizza and fresh donuts in a warm cabin overlooking the snow. Ski Lodge opens for snow enthusiasts

Avid snowboarders and skiers photograph each other’s stunts outside the Land Memorial Ski Lodge at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Jan. 5, 2013. The ski lodge operation hours are Fridays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In between family fun activities, snow-lovers are given free hot cocoa and coffee, as well as a chance to lounge on the couches while gazing at the snowy view.
