North American Amphibian Monitoring Program

Acknowledgements

The North American Amphibian Monitoring Program (NAAMP) is made possible by the contribution of time and effort of hundreds of participants. These survey participants spend many evening hours in the field collecting frog call survey data each year. In addition, NAAMP State Partners make the survey possible through their coordination and management of the survey within their respective states.

This web-application is hosted and maintained by the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Laurel, Maryland. Many people have been involved in the development of this web-application and associated database over the years. The initial database and web-application were developed by Paige Eagle and Linda Weir. Ovais Aslam, Jang Byun, and Linda Weir are primarily responsible for the current database and web-application design. Mark Wimer deserves special recognition for his breadth of knowledge and willingness to lend his expertise. Our information technology staff, especially Lisa Whitman, keep the servers and websites running. Kinard Boone created the new NAAMP logo and assisted with graphics and web troubleshooting.

The beta-version of the NAAMP website redesign was improved through comments from State Partners, USGS staff and contractors including: Aram Calhoun, Amielle Dewan, Susan Gallo, Angela Garcia, Paul Geissler, Jeff Hall, Wayne Hildebrand, John Jensen, Eran Kilpatrick, Melissa Miller, Holly Niederriter, Keith Pardieck, Bruce Peterjohn, Kathy Shelton, Larissa Smith, Jessica Sushinsky, Allison Sussman, Tina Walther, Lisa Whitman, Mark Wimer and David Ziolkowski. A series of seasonal assistants have contributed to NAAMP over the years, including: Becky Rau, Robert Fernandes, Linh Phu, Kimberly Porter, Shonda Foster, Coleen Gentles, Crystalina McGrail, Jessica Sushinsky, Melissa Miller, Lauren Sullivan, and Daniel Weaver.

Photo images used in the NAAMP website were graciously provided by Thomas Luhring (homepage, Ornate Chorus Frog) and J.D. Willson (subpages, Barking Treefrog).
