Traditional Paper Charts
NOAA authorizes the production of two types of paper charts. The traditional paper chart is a lithographic version that is printed at a specific point in time and does not contain critical updates that were published in the United States Coast Guard’s Local Notice to Mariners (LNM) or in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Notice to Mainers (NM) since the chart publication date.

A Print on Demand (POD) chart is printed within a day or two of the date it is ordered and contains all of the critical chart corrections published in the LNM and NM within a week of the order date.

To purchase a Print on Demand chart, visit www.oceangrafix.com

To purchase a traditional paper chart:

  1. Find a local NOAA chart agent at: http://aeronav.faa.gov/agents.asp (Note that this is an FAA site that lists both aeronautical and nautical chart agents). NOAA recommends that you call and verify the availability of the latest paper edition from the vendor you select.
  2. Order online or over the phone by contacting one of the following retailers*
