Town Hall Meetings to Assist Nuclear Weapons Workers,

Staff from the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) will host three town hall meetings on Feb. 13, 2013, at 9:30 a.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to discuss the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the medical benefits provided under the program. Discussion will include specific information concerning how to request medical care, how to request home health care services, how to better serve EEOICPA claimants, the Privacy Act, and other important information. In addition, DEEOIC staff will also host a town hall meeting at 12:00 p.m. to provide former Oak Ridge National Laboratory (X-10) workers with information concerning a new class of employees recently added to the Special Exposure Cohort of the EEOICPA. |

In addition, DEEOIC staff will also host two town hall meetings at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the same day to provide former Los Alamos National Laboratory workers with information concerning a new class of employees recently added to the Special Exposure Cohort of the EEOICPA. Staff from DEEOIC's Espanola Resource Center and Seattle District Office will also be available at the town hall meetings from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to assist individuals with questions regarding existing EEOICPA claims and with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA. |
