Germans, like Americans, celebrate with an Easter bunny, or Osterhase, delivering eggs and an Easter egg hunt. The Easter Rabbit tradition is believed to originate in Germany, with the first mention in 1684 in a Heidelberg medical professor’s notes. Germany also has other Easter traditions:
