Appendix G of 90.1-2004

Session 3 of a seven-part webcast series presented by the Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program to help federal agencies comply with the requirements of ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004.

The Appendix G of 90.1-2004 webcast provides an overview of Appendix G of ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004, Performance Rating Method, which is a modification of the Energy Cost Budget Method. Appendix G is intended for use in rating the energy efficiency of building designs that exceed the requirements of ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004. 10 CFR 433 mandates the use of Appendix G (with minor modification) for use in calculating the performance of new Federal commercial and high-rise multi-family buildings. Appendix G is also used in the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system.
