The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for Children and Youth (ICF-CY) is produced by the World Health Organization (WHO).
ICF-CY is part of the WHO Family of International Classifications (WHO-FIC).
Purpose
ICF-CY was created to provide a common language to document and measure the health and disability of child and youth populations.
Description

ICF-CY is a standard language for children’s health, education and social services. It is used to record the characteristics of child development, the environmental factors affecting child development, and developmental delays.
Audience
ICF-CY can be used by health care providers and consumers.
Educators, researchers and policy makers may find ICF-CY to be useful as a common language for clinical and research applications.
