HUD SOUTHEAST REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR ED JENNINGS JR., NAMES CURTIS L. DAVIS AS HUD'S NORTH CAROLINA FIELD OFFICE DIRECTOR

GREENSBORO - U.S. Housing and Urban Development Southeast Regional Administrator Ed Jennings, Jr., today announced the selection of Curtis L. Davis to serve as HUD Field Office Director for the State of North Carolina, beginning April 23, 2012.

As the State of North Carolina Field Office Director, Davis will serve as HUD's liaison to mayors, city managers, elected representatives, state and local officials, congressional delegations, nonprofit groups, private entities, faith based groups, other stakeholders and individual Americans. He will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of HUD programs and services to communities and individuals, as well as, evaluating their efficiency and effectiveness.

"Curtis is a native of North Carolina and brings leadership, experience and expertise to this position and will be an indispensable partner and resource to the people and communities of North Carolina," said HUD Southeast Regional Administrator Ed Jennings, Jr. "We are extremely fortunate to have Curtis joining our management team."

Prior to coming to the North Carolina HUD Field Office, Davis served as the HUD Chief Counsel of the New Orleans Office where he led the HUD legal department. Mr. Davis was born in Whiteville, North Carolina and graduated from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor degree in Political Science and upon graduation received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in 1979. In 1982 he earned his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University as well.

Curtis is married and has two children.
