The Washington University ADRC is one of 32 centers funded or otherwise supported by the National Institute on Aging with the collective aim of facilitating advanced research on clinical, genetic, neuropathological, neuroanatomical, biomedical, psychosocial, and neuropsychological aspects of Alzheimer's disease and related brain disorders. Our Center and its clinical research arm - the
Memory and Aging Project - are at the forefront of a worldwide effort to uncover key causal factors in the development of Alzheimer's disease, with a goal of developing more effective treatments and an eventual cure.
