Welcome to the Head Start Transportation PathFinder!
Transportation PathFinder is a web resource that has been created to help Head Start and Early Head Start agencies to comply with transportation safety requirements. This resource includes state information and available links to each State Director of Pupil Transportation, and other transportation providers within the state.
In addition to the selected state laws and regulations, this tool provides users with scenarios and solutions for everyday situations to help provide the foundation for program policies and procedures. Examples include what to do when a child is left behind on a bus, how to respond to bathroom needs, and how to address staffing issues. The scenarios are designed to allow a transportation team to review a given situation and to develop a procedure or process before a problem arises.
