Surface Movements...
Welcome to the website of the Surface Movements. The Surface Movements coordinates shipment, receipt, and intra-post distribution of unit equipment and other cargo via commercial freight carriers (line-haul, rail, small package carriers, etc).
Effective March 15, 2007, all personnel, soldiers and civilians, will be required to wear protective gear when using the loading and unloading dock at the Surface Movements.
The Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR 45009-R) mandates the use of DD Form 1149 dated July 2006 for transportation movements. It is requested that all units and agencies adhere to these guidelines. Ft. Bragg Container Management office will not issue containers for storage. If they are needed for storage, units must check DRMO if unserviceable containers have been turned in. If they are available, the units must receive the containers from DRMO.
