Mission

The Directorate of Plans,Training, Mobilization & Security mission is to plan, coordinate, enhance, and supervise training to insure uninterrupted flow of IET qualified soldiers to the Army. In addition to Planning, Developing,Coordinating and Supervising the installation force protection posture, the DPTMS also executes mobilization missions in support of Army Operations Worldwide.


G3 coordinates and supervises training with a primary focus on Initial Entry Training. G3 provides expertise and guidance in training policy, Ranges, Scheduling, NBC, Schools, Ammunition Management and ITAM.


Also included under the DPTMS organizational architecture is Plans, Operations, Training, Security, FP/AT/ IOC, Museum, TSC, Range Control & Scheduling.

Range Control

RC controls operations of all training areas and range facilities ensuring safety and regulatory compliance during utilization.

Mobilization Cell

Mobilization Cell serves as the focal point for planning, coordinating and executing mobilization and mobilization excercises at Fort Jackson. It provides coordination and liaison between National Guard and US Army Reserve units, the garrison staff directorates, and other tenants organizations. This includes detailed peacetime planning for receiving, housing, equiping, training and preparation for deployment of all Reserve Component units scheduled to mobilized at Fort Jackson. Also on order, Fort Jackson expands the peacetime training base to provide trained filler theater replacements (IRRs) for active component and mobilized reserve component units. The Mobilization Planning Cell is operated under the direction of the Directorate of Plans, Training and Mobilization (DPTM). For more information call (803) 751-6270.
