THE ARMY SAFETY OFFICE

Overview

The Director of Army Safety (DASAF) is part of the Office of the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) reporting directly to the Director of the Army Staff. The Army Safety Office is located in the Washington DC area. The DASAF serves a dual role as the Commander, U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center, Fort Rucker, AL.

The DASAF is the principal advisor to the Secretary of the Army (SA), the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA), and Headquarters, Department of the Army (DA) unified staff on all safety matters. Through the Army Safety Office, he serves as the Army’s primary advocate for Composite Risk Management and administers and directs the Army Safety Program
  

Mission

Provide Army Safety policy, programs and expertise to ensure Composite Risk Management is integrated throughout the Army. Provide expertise on safety matters to the Army Senior Leadership, Army Staff, Army Commands, Army Service Component Commands, Direct Reporting Units, other services, OSD and other agencies.
