Jan. 24, 2013 – HSI Little Rock seizes $100,000 of counterfeit goods

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) seized more than $100,000 of counterfeit cosmetics, designer handbags and electronics after executing a search warrant at a Conway, AR home Jan. 16. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Conway Police Department assisted HSI with the investigation leading to the seizure. Full Story

Jan. 24, 2013 – ICE removes Dominican Republic fugitive wanted for multiple murders

A Dominican Republic man, who resided unlawfully in Manhattan, was deported earlier today and turned over to Dominican Republic authorities by officers with ICE's ERO. The man, who was wanted in connection with four murders, was previously removed from the United States after a felony criminal conviction for selling narcotics. After his prior deportation, he illegally re-entered the country. Full Story

Jan. 23, 2013 – Chicago ICE officers deport Lithuanian national convicted of murder

A Lithuanian national, who was convicted of second-degree murder for his role in the 2005 beating death of University of Illinois at Chicago student Tombol Malik, was deported Wednesday by ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Full Story

Jan. 23, 2013 – Head of alien smuggling organization sentenced to 12 1/2 years in federal prison

The head of an extensive alien smuggling organization operating in and around south and southeast Texas was sentenced to 12 1/2 years in federal prison. This case was investigated by ICE's HSI Falcon Dam, with the assistance of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Full Story

Jan. 22, 2013 – Indiana resident sentenced in Colorado to serve more than 34 years in federal prison for child exploitation crimes

A man from Indiana was sentenced Tuesday to serve 34 years and four months in federal prison for attempted coercion and enticement (to engage in unlawful sexual activity with a minor child), and distributing child pornography. The sentence was announced by U.S. Attorney John Walsh, and ICE's HSI Special Agent in Charge Kumar Kibble. Full Story
