Dec. 1, 2012 – ICE removes Mexican kidnapping suspect to Mexico

A Mexican national wanted for kidnapping in Mexico was escorted out of the United States by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers and turned over to Mexican law enforcement officials. Full Story

Dec. 5, 2012 – HSI Columbus Bulk Cash Smuggling Task Force seizes nearly $2.4 million in illicit proceeds

 Special agents from ICE's Homeland Security Investigations' recently formed Bulk Cash Smuggling Task Force (BCSTF) in Columbus, Ohio, seized $2,385,539 and made 111 arrests for violations of federal and state laws that make it a crime to smuggle currency in, around or out of the United States, transmit money without a license, launder money and travel domestically or internationally in aid of racketeering enterprises.  Full Story

Dec. 5, 2012 – Callers report wide range of suspected criminal activity to HSI Tip Line Unit

In Williston, Vt., men and women from ICE's HSI Tip Line Unit are on duty 24/7, 365 days year, receiving tips and quickly routing them to where they need to go. The Tip Line Unit responds to individuals from around the world who report a wide range of suspected criminal activity. Full Story

Dec. 6, 2012 – 21 Puerto Rico companies become 'IMAGE' certified

Twenty-one businesses representing the automotive, marketing, healthcare, restaurant, security, agriculture, food and telecommunications industries became the latest employers to partner with the ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers (IMAGE) program to strengthen their hiring practices, reduce fraud and ensure they employ a legal workforce.
