ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents conducted "Operation Interception" in the weeks leading up to Super Bowl XLV to identify stores and vendors selling counterfeit game-related sportswear. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers conducted an operation in New Jersey to locate and arrest immigration violators. Officers arrested 28 individuals who had previously been deported. Sixteen had prior criminal convictions ranging from distribution of a dangerous controlled substance to felony threatening to kill. ICE HSI agents discovered a drop house in Phoenix, Ariz., after following up on a tip from the Arizona Department of Public Safety. More than 50 illegal aliens were detained at the residence. Two individuals were arrested on human smuggling charges. Full Story
Stephen Sims and others distributed child pornography to an international restricted membership group on a social networking website. The pornographic images and videos featured children being sexually abused and sometimes sodomized or subjected to bondage. Full Story
