Oct. 6, 2010 - Secretary Napolitano announces record-breaking immigration enforcement statistics achieved under the Obama administration

Immigration enforcement efforts reached all-time highs in FY 2010. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) removed an unprecedented number -- more than 392,000 -- aliens from U.S. soil. Half of this year's removals were criminals and fugitives who pose a danger to our communities. Full Story

Oct. 6, 2010 - ICE arrests 32 convicted criminal aliens in New Jersey

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a three-week Criminal Alien Program (CAP) operation in Newark, N.J. that ended late last week. The operation focused on "at large" criminal aliens residing within the community. Those arrested had criminal convictions for offenses ranging from manslaughter and robbery to aggravated sexual contact with a minor. Full Story

Oct. 6, 2010 - Colombian marina owner pleads guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine by selling "go fast" vessels to drug traffickers

David Hodwalker-Martinez, aka "Tilo," owned a marina located in Barranquilla, Colombia. There, he sold and outfitted hundreds of "go fast" vessels to cocaine traffickers. On Tuesday, Oct. 5, Hodwalker-Martinez pleaded guilty to conspiring to import cocaine into the U.S. Full Story

Oct. 5, 2010 - Former junior high school music teacher sentenced to 7.5 years in prison

A Kansas City, Mo. man pleaded guilty to five counts of receiving child pornography over the Internet and one count of possessing child pornography. His collection of child pornography exceeded 5,000 images and 70 movies. The investigation was part of Operation Predator, a nationwide U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) initiative to protect children from sexual predators. Full Story

Oct. 4, 2010 - ICE seizes more than 3,000 pounds of marijuana in Douglas, Ariz.

A three-mile pursuit led U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and law enforcement officials to two abandoned pickup trucks just outside of Douglas, Ariz. Both trucks were transported to the Office of Homeland Security Investigations in Douglas where officials discovered 3,059.5 pounds of marijuana. Full Story
