How to Update the Web Service API for Business.gov to the Web Service API for SBA.gov
Update Your Applications to Use SBA.gov's Web Services API
The SBA.gov Web Service API uses the same structure as the Business.gov Web Service API, however, you need to change the domain name used to reference the API for your application to access the new API.
To transition your applications to use SBA.gov's Web Service API simply replace the domain name “business” (api.business.gov) with “sba” ( api.sba.gov) in all URL references utilized in your applications.
EXAMPLE:
Replace the following URL:
http://api.business.gov/license_permit/all_by_state/ca.xml
With this URL:
http://api.sba.gov/license_permit/all_by_state/ca.xml
Once you update the domain in the API urls, your application should function exactly as it did when using the Business.gov version.
Why Do I Need to Update to Use SBA.gov's Web Services API?
As of February 2011, the Business.gov site has moved to SBA.gov and is no longer available under the Business.gov domain.
