Washington's Agreement lists the following species:

Endangered

• Blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus)
• Bocaccio rockfish (Sebastes paucispinis)- Puget Sound/ Georgia Basin Distinct Population Segment (DPS)
• Fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus)
• Humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae)
• Leatherback sea turtle (Dermochelys coriacea)
• North Pacific right whale (Eubalaena japonica)
• Sei whale (Balaenoptera borealis)
• Southern resident killer whale (Orcinus orca)
• Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus)

Threatened

• Canary rockfish (Sebastes pinniger)- Puget Sound/ Georgia Basin DPS
• Eulachon (Thaleichthys pacificus)- Southern DPS
• Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas)*
  *Green turtles are listed as threatened, except for breeding populations of green turtles in Florida and on the Pacific coast of Mexico, where they are listed as endangered.
• Green sturgeon (Acipenser medirostris)- Southern DPS
• Loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta)
• Steller sea lion (Eumetopias jubatus) - Eastern DPS
• Yelloweye rockfish (Sebastes ruberrimus)- Puget Sound/ Georgia Basin DPS

Note: To be eligible for funding through the Species Recovery Grants program, species listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) must be covered by the State's section 6 agreement. Proposed and candidate species that occur in the State do not need to be listed on the agreement to be eligible for funding.
