STAFF BIOGRAPHIES
Jackie Jackson, EdD
- Currently Acting Director of Title I, formerly the Deputy Director; initially began her career at the Department in the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services
- Additionally, worked at New American Schools, developing and piloting standards of quality for comprehensive school reform (CSR) models
- Before joining the Department, held numerous teaching and administrative positions in the District of Columbia Public Schools

Fran Walter
- Currently a Special Assistant to the Director of Title I; she began her work at the Department in the Comprehensive School Reform Program (CSR)
- Prior to coming to the Department, spent her career in public education as a classroom teacher, district library media director, program administrator and, most recently, as an assistant superintendent for instruction in Washington State

GUEST PRESENTERS
Chris Coxon
- Currently the Deputy Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in the Boston Public Schools system; came to Boston as an Instructional Leader, the position he held before his current position
- Before coming to Boston, was a principal, Director of School Improvement, and a School Improvement Team Chair for a school system in Puerto Rico, part of a Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA)

Walt Gibson
- Currently a Community Superintendent for the Montgomery County Public Schools (Maryland); came to Montgomery County as the Director of the Downcounty Consortium
- Before moving to Maryland, was an Assistant Superintendent as well as a Superintendent in the states of New Mexico and Rhode Island
