Non-profits, Private Sector, Faith based

Opening Doors calls for an unprecedented level of collaboration between the public and private sector in order to prevent and end homelessness. The federal government needs leadership and support from faith communities, businesses, and philanthropy to inspire and energize Americans to commit to preventing and ending homelessness.

Faith-based and non-profit organizations and private business serve in various capacities as they work to end homelessness in America.  They are often service providers , working directly to house, heal, feed, clothe, or educate people experiencing homelessness.   They are also often advocates  working to make sure that the issue of homelessness in America remains a strong focus of our governments and our communities.  These organizations are valuable partners for USICH as they have a wealth of knowledge and expertise both when it comes to what works and when it comes to how to make people listen.

USICH relied on the advice and support of many in faith-based organizations, businesses, and philanthropy to develop Opening Doors. We will need their support and partnership to achieve the plans ambitious goals. Partners in our work include
