KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Staff Sgt. Sara Klobucar, 353rd Operations Support Squadron weather technician, prepares a radiosonde before attaching it to a helium-filled weather balloon here Oct. 27. The radiosonde measures pressure, temperature and relative humidity as it ascends into the atmosphere; and sends the data back to the MW31 sounding system every one to two seconds. Up in the air

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Staff Sgts. Sara Klobucar and David Simpson, 353rd Operations Support Squadron weather technicians, set up a MW31 sounding system before launching a helium-filled weather balloon here Oct. 27. A radiosonde attached to the weather balloon measures pressure, temperature and relative humidity as it ascends into the atmosphere; and sends the data back to the sounding system every one to two seconds. Rodeo 2000

Airman First Class Daniel Zappe a Combat Controler with the Air Force helps judge the wind speed for incoming jumpers durning the opening ceremony of Rodeo 2000, at Pope Air Force Base. Teams from all over the world will be competing in areas including airdrop, aerial refueling, aircraft navigation, special tactics, short field landings, cargo loading, engine running on/offloads, aeromedical evacuations and security forces operations. From May 6 to 13, more than 80 aircraft representing more than 100 teams from 17 countries will bring in about 3,500 competitors, observers, umpires, and support people to Pope AFB, NC. Operation Enduring Freedom

Attached to the 410th Air Expeditionary Wing, C-130 crew members from the 71st Rescue Squadron, Moody AFB, GA walk back to their sqadron after flying an alert mission on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at an undisclosed location in support of Exercise Rugged Arch.
