Who We Are - Ames Laboratory's Brand
We all know that Ames Laboratory is a U.S. Department of Energy research facility operated under contract by Iowa State University. But really, who are we and what do we do? In other words, what's our brand?
Through the efforts of a branding committee, Ames Laboratory's strengths were identified along with a set of core values that define everything we do. It's the face we want to present that uniquely identifies Ames Laboratory and helps people understand, and begin to recognize, who we are and what we do.
Ames Laboratory creates innovative materials, technologies and energy solutions. We use our expertise, unique capabilities and interdisciplinary collaborations to solve global challenges.
Known as our positioning statement, this briefly explains who we are and what we do. That's a lot of words to remember so we have a shorter version, a tagline, that simply states:
