Dr. Ronald J. Knight Jr. comes to the Georgia/Alabama School District from Killeen, Texas home of Fort Hood the largest Army base in the world. He attended a Department of Defense school as a child in England, and both his children attended a Department of Defense school in Germany. He was in the Army for almost 15 years serving in Korea, Germany, Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas. As an educator, he has served our military children in the roles of educational assistant, teacher, curriculum instructional specialist, assistant principal, and principal. He received his B.S. in Liberal Studies from Excelsior University, Masters in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University-Central Texas, and Doctorate of Educational Administration from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He is married to Maritess Knight, and his daughter Marikit is a sophomore in high school. He has a love for learning and a heart for
