- Description: The Defense Commissary Agency opened its latest full-service grocery store in Ansbach to hundreds of shoppers who were hungry for great deals on Feb. 5. The multi-million dollar facility boasts a deli, bakery, six in-lane checkout registers, customer service kiosk, and four self-checkout registers to better serve nearly 10,000 authorized shoppers in the community. Design features such as solar power generation, LED lighting, non-ozone-depleting refrigerants, energy-saving equipment, skylights, and daylight-harvesting light controls make it the greenest DeCA store worldwide. As the commissary slogan goes - It's worth the trip!
