A program that includes Winston Churchill's relationship with Dwight Eisenhower will be held in the Visitors Center Auditorium at 7 p.m. on May 10. Announce Joint Leadership Programs
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum have developed new joint programs to teach the value of civic knowledge and engagement, and to encourage Scouts to be actively involved in the democratic process. Participating Scouts will earn the new "Eisenhower Patch." The partnership builds on General of the Army and President Dwight D. Eisenhower's commitment to civic education. read more . . .
Eisenhower Presidential Library Offers STEM
Summer Institute for Educators
The Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum will hold one of five workshops for educators offered across the nation by the National Archives and Records Administration in the summer of 2011. Primarily Teaching: Original Documents and Classroom Strategies will take place in Abilene, Kan., from July 18 -22. read more . . .
Five Star Leaders
Five Star Leaders is an experiential-learning leadership program which challenges students in grades 8-12, college students, and adults to work together to solve a problem, confront a crisis, or accomplish a mission. Armed with original documents and knowledge of history and leadership, students take on the same challenges as those experienced by historical figures.
