Thanks to everyone who participated in a record-breaking ShakeOut – more than 9.4 million people in California and more than 19 million people worldwide demonstrated “Drop, Cover and Hold On” this month. FEMA Region IX recently participated in the American Red Cross Great ShakeOut on October 17th celebrating the anniversary of the the Loma Prieta Earthquake right in the heart of downtown San Francisco Union Square.
