Air Show 2011

An estimated 160,000 people attended Keesler’s open house and air show, Angels Over the Bay, March 19 and 20. The celebration of Keesler’s 70 years of heritage included the Navy Blue Angels and Army Golden Knights along with many other performers, static displays and vendors. Last year, the Blue Angels performed 68 air shows at 35 U.S. sites in their F/A-18 Hornets for more than 8 million spectators. Since its inception in 1946, the Blue Angels have performed for more than 463 million fans. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kemberly Groue)
