Support in a Safe Place

The Dougy Center provides support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families grieving a death can share their experiences.

We provide support and training locally, nationally and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief. We are supported solely through private support from individuals, foundations and companies. The Dougy Center does not charge a fee for its services.

Memories Matter

Memories Matter features 85 activities designed to help children and teens process their unique grief. The activities invite children to use different modes of expression such as writing, drawing, talking and movement; and encourage the sharing of feelings to normalize the grief experience. Memories Matter is a product of our wisest teachers at The Dougy Center the children and teens who participate in our grief support groups.
