Fresh off a tour of the east coast, we’ve wrapped up event season for the year, culminating this past week with small receptions hosted by CURE Board member Connie Milstein and her husband J.C. de la Haye St Hilaire in New York City and in Washington, DC.
We had some amazing star power in each place—so great to capture the attention of such prominent people to epilepsy! In New York, Mayor Bloomberg stopped by to accept our Friend of CURE Award, and in Washington, DC, Vice President Biden was gracious enough to spend part of the evening with us–he delivered a powerful speech that left the room touched and in tears. Thanks to Connie, JC and her amazing team for pulling off such stellar receptions—two nights in a row!
