USAID's Democracy and Governance program in El Salvador works with the Government of El Salvador to:
- Help implement the new Criminal Procedures Code;
- Contribute to improving the use of scientific evidence for convictions;
- Help improve justice sector service delivery;
- Improve, establishes, and promotes good governance and anti-corruption practices within the government;
- Support the Government Ethics Tribunal policy reforms; and
- Develop innovative partnerships between the public and private sector to carry out community-based crime prevention programs.
