Summary
Remember, the goal of this requirement is to ensure that an alternative method of conveying information is provided in addition to color. When items that solely use color need textual alternatives, an alternative must also be available without the use of assistive technology. For example, setting the accessible name on a button while keeping the button green doesn't assist a user who is color blind and not using assistive technology. Thus, an alternative must be visually available without color as well as available to users of assistive technology.
