Central Coast could lead the way on green again...Building a Clean Energy Economy

Dear Friend,

I wanted to make sure you saw my op-ed in the Pacific Coast Business Times about the clean energy economy.

While our economic recovery continues to move in the right direction, much more work remains. Creating jobs and supporting economic growth remain my top priorities.

One of the most promising sectors of economic growth is in clean energy.  The Central Coast is poised to help lead the development and deployment of clean energy technologies, particularly in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors, thanks to our many innovative companies and our premier colleges and universities.  These technologies will help create green jobs, save consumers in energy costs, and cut harmful air pollution.

I’ll continue supporting common-sense policies in Washington, like targeted clean energy technology tax breaks and building a 21st century transportation network, so that our country can fully realize the job creating potential and economic benefits of the clean energy economy.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts with you. As always, please feel free to pass along this message to family and friends.

And you are always welcome to keep in touch with me by liking my Facebook page, following me on Twitter, or by sending me an email.

Sincerely,
