Welcome to the USAID/Kyrgyzstan Website!

USAID/Kyrgyzstan is proud to present its newly redesigned website. We hope the website will be a convenient place to learn the latest information about our programs and about recent developments in the Kyrgyz Republic. The new website reflects the designation of USAID/Kyrgyzstan as a new Representational Office as of April 2011.

Since 1992, USAID, on behalf of the American people, has partnered with Kyrgyzstan in its efforts to transition to a peaceful and democratic society, able to provide her citizens with services and opportunities to live healthy and productive lives. Our support ranges across Kyrgyzstan’s priorities – from supporting economic development and modernizing the energy services sector to improving healthcare delivery affecting the lives of the Kyrgyz population. USAID has assisted Kyrgyzstan in some of its most important achievements in education and has been in the forefront of supporting the development of a vibrant democracy in all its forms.

USAID is proud of the work we do in partnership with the Kyrgyz government and the Kyrgyz people. Together we have focused on making tangible improvements in the systems and institutions that govern people’s lives.

As recent history reminds us, Kyrgyzstan faces many challenges across the spectrum of our common work. USAID and the American people are committed to the partnership with Kyrgyzstan and its people in sharing a common vision for a prosperous and democratic Kyrgyzstan.
