Need To Know - Funding Finale
In an eleventh hour finale, lawmakers sealed an agreement to fund 10 Cabinet agencies through September 30, 2012, at levels lower than the previous year in an effort to trim government debt. The bill eliminates 42 government programs and rolls back non-defense spending to approximately 2008 levels. All other domestic agencies were funded in a separate November package.

Harper Comments On Lawsuit Challenging Arizona
“It is illegal to be in the United States without proper documentation, plain and simple. Those who are here illegally should have to face consequences,” said Congressman Gregg Harper. “Arizona has taken a reasonable and constitutional approach to end this decades-old problem that has continuously been ignored by the Obama Administration. Illegal immigration is a matter of national security.”
