Description: The Ponca Winter Wheat site is a 65 ha rainfed wheat field in north central Oklahoma. Planting of winter wheat takes place annually in mid-fall. By late May, most of the wheat reaches maturity, allowing for mid-summer harvest. (Hanan et al., 2005, Gilmanov et al., 2003, Gu et al., 2002, Hanan et al., 2002)
