Measuring Success of Your Challenge

Challenge Planning—Step 9 of 9

Planning how you will measure your challenge’s success is vital. It’s also critical for improving your next challenge.  Before launching, decide how you're going to collect metrics and how you will analyze them.

Depending on the platform you choose, there may be built-in metrics to track certain data, such as the number of participants. In addition, you should consider how to incorporate data from this challenge into your office’s overall analytics plan.

Sample metrics include:

  • Number of app downloads;
  • Number of ideas submitted;
  • Number of actionable ideas submitted, and, most importantly;
  • Impact of ideas implemented. Show how your challenge saved money, changed behavior, made an improvement and/or impacted many people.

Next Step

Now that you've finished planning your challenge, you can begin implementing your challenge.
