Description:
The global Navy Coastal Ocean Model (NCOM) is a 1/8 degree mid-latitude resolution ocean prediction system run by the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) as the Navy's real-time operational nowcast/forecast system. More information on the model can be found by visiting the NCOM website.
NCOM model output is accessed through the NOAA NCDDC/NCEP OceanNOMADS (NOAA Operational Model Archive and Distribution System). Model output can be accessed globally (surface only) or by region. A description of the NCOM regions can be found at the OceanNOMADS website.
Access through GOODS is limited to the most recent seven days of model output.
