Two Contractors Plead Guilty in Miami Airport Security Case

Summary
Two contractors—Ramon Armando Paez and Carlos A. Orjuela—pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Miami, FL, to charges of obtaining false security badges at Miami International Airport (MIA). The men, both illegal aliens, have been incarcerated since their arrest on September 14 at MIA and will be deported following their sentencing. To date, six of 12 illegal aliens have pleaded guilty to charges of making fake security badges at MIA. OIG investigated this case with the U.S. Customs Service. No sentencing date has been set.
