Illegal Foreign National Sentenced for Using False SSN for Logan Employment

Summary

An illegal foreign national—Wilson Guzman Polo, a citizen of Colombia—was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Boston, MA, after pleading guilty on June 3 to making false statements and using a false social security number to obtain employment at Logan International Airport in Boston. He was sentenced to 3 years' probation, the first 6 months of which are to be served in community confinement. When he has served his sentence, Polo could be deported to Colombia. He obtained employment in 1994 with HMS Host Marriott Corp., which provides a variety of services for the Security Identification Display Area at Logan International Airport.
