AM Auction Filing Window and Application Freeze 
Extended to February 1, 2000
	
On November 19, 1999 the Mass Media and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureaus 
released a Public Notice announcing the opening and closing dates for an AM Auction Filing 
Window for new, major change, and certain minor change AM station proposals.  The window 
filing period opened on January 24, 2000 and was scheduled to close on January 28, 2000.

Due to inclement weather which closed the Commission on January 25 and 26, 2000, the 
application filing window period has been extended to 5:30 PM EST on February 1, 2000.  

The freeze on the acceptance of minor change AM applications is also extended through 
February 1, 2000.  However, some minor change AM applications may already be en route to 
the Commission in anticipation of the originally announced January 31, 2000 lifting of the 
freeze.  The Mass Media Bureau will treat any AM minor change applications subject to the 
freeze but received on Monday, January 31, 2000 or Tuesday, February 1, 2000 as having been 
filed on Wednesday, February 2, 2000.
