128th Air Refueling Wing

The mission of the 128th Air Refueling Wing is to maintain a professionally trained and equipped military organization, supporting aerial refueling, airlift, and the interests of the nation, state, and community. The 128th’s principal mission is the KC-135 Stratotanker. This unique asset greatly enhances the U.S. Air Force's capability to accomplish its primary missions of Global Reach and Global Power. We also provide aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and allied nation aircraft. The 128th Air Refueling Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard, has had a long and illustrious record of service to the State of Wisconsin and the United States of America.

The Materials Management Specialist is in charge of obtaining all the supplies and equipment an Air Guard unit could possibly need for any conceivable mission and getting them into the right hands. <p>As a Vehicle Operations Specialist, you'll operate a wide range of vehicles, including sedans, buses, utility trucks, 18-wheel tractor/trailer combinations, wreckers, mounted cranes and hoists. Your mission as a Vehicle Operations Specialist can take you all over the world, where you'll participate in convoy operations and movement of supplies, munitions and outsized expeditionary forces. You'll learn vital skills, such as map and compass reading, determining vehicle types and specifications, and assessing capacities and limitations. <p>As you can imagine, the last person to handle an aircraft before it actually takes off bears an immense responsibility to make absolutely certain that the plane is mission ready. That person is the Aerospace Maintenance Specialist. In this job, you'll be accountable for ensuring the aircraft is in perfect working order. If alterations or repairs are needed, you'll assign specialists to fix the issues and work with them to ensure the plane's safety and readiness. Pre-flight, you'll give the plane one last inspection to make sure it's serviced with fuel, hydraulic fluid and liquid oxygen before giving it your final approval. <p>Whether it's at your local Air Guard unit or in a temporary disaster relief facility, electricity is vital to Air Guard operations. As an Electrical Power Production Specialist, it'll be your job to get it there and to keep the power supply fully functional.
