Subject: OUTAGE ALERT--Federal Student Aid Web Site and System Outages Scheduled for March 19-20, 2011

During the period March 19-20, 2011, we plan to execute extended system maintenance for the Central Processing System (CPS) that will impact several Federal Student Aid Web sites and systems. This work is in addition to the regular weekly maintenance that occurs each weekend.

This announcement provides information about the systems and Web sites that will be affected during the extended maintenance period. Please review the information in this announcement and evaluate the impact on your school or organization during the period when the affected Web sites will be unavailable. We believe that this outage should not affect any state deadlines; however, we ask schools to allow some flexibility with any school-specific deadlines, as appropriate.
