In order to provide greater transparency and predictability for US defense firms in planning munitions license submissions, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls will provide a monthly update of the Directorate’s processing times. The timelines are expressed in averages across all case activity. For electronic cases, the average is based on the date the case was signed by the applicant until the date of final action. For hardcopy cases, the processing times are determined by the date the case entered the Directorate until the time the case is signed out of the Directorate. Processing numbers include all case types except Commodity Jurisdictions (CJs), Government Jurisdictions (GJs), and Electronic Rejections.
