109th Airlift Wing
The 109th Airlift Wing, located at Stratton Air National Guard Base, supports five primary federal missions: polar airlift, aero-medical evacuation, aerial port, combat construction, and field hospital contingencies. These missions require the involvement of many career fields, including Security Forces, Services, Personnel, Communications, Supply, and many others. The 109th is the only Wing in the Air Force that possesses the ski-equipped LC-130 aircraft. Our polar airlift mission, which supports the National Science Foundation, makes these planes invaluable. Our aircrews and aircraft maintenance personnel are uniquely qualified to get the job done with our C-130s and the LC-130s.
