APFO Geospatial Branch

The Geospatial Branch is involved in a variety of activities, including customer support, research and analysis, representation on local and national teams, project management, production and repair, and flight planning. The Branch has two sections: Service Center Support and Geospatial Services.

The Service Center Support Section provides technical and programmatic support and assistance on geospatial related issues to Farm Service Agency (FSA) Service Centers, State Offices, and Headquarters offices as well as to other government agencies and the public. The Service Center Support Section supports APFO and FSA in product and process research, analysis and enhancement, and in the development of methodologies to improve efficiency in all aspects of geospatial business.

The Geospatial Services Section corrects imagery problems, creates and enhances ortho photos, produces custom imagery products, builds and/or corrects digital elevation models (DEM), and carries out flight planning responsibilities for NAIP.
