Day Use Fees

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Dale Hollow Lake charges a day use fee at selected recreation areas: Pleasant Grove Day Use, Lillydale Day Use, and Obey River Day Use. Pleasant Grove offers a launching ramp, bathroom, picnic sites, picnic shelter and lake access.  Lillydale and Obey River offer sand swimming beaches, playgrounds, launching ramps, bathrooms, picnic sites and picnic shelters. The fees are $4.00 per vehicle per day. Current Golden Age and Golden Access Passport holders and America the Beautiful Interagency Senior & Access Pass holders will receive a 50% discount on these fees.  A photo id must accompany the pass to receive the discount.  A paid camping permit from a Corps operated campground will entitle the holder to use any designated day use facility without paying the day user fee on the day for which the camping permit is valid.

Annual Passes

Day Use Annual Passes are available for sale year round at the Dale Hollow Lake Resource Manager's Office and at the following campgrounds during their open season:  Dale Hollow Damsite, Lillydale, Obey River and Willow Grove Campgrounds.  Annual Passes cost $30.00. A half-price discount is given for the holder of a Golden Age/Access Passport or of an America the Beautiful Interagency Senior or Access Pass. The Annual Pass is good at all similar day use facilities nation wide at any Corps project charging a day use fee.  The Corps of Engineers will honor the ATB U.S. Military Annual Pass for free access into day use areas.  We regret that we cannot honor the America the Beautiful Interagency Annual Pass. It is issued by federal agencies (including the National Park Service) who charge entrance fees and is an annual pass for entrance fees only. The Corps does not charge entrance fees, only use fees.
